My whole life I’ve been the kind of person who would throw away bread that had the slightest bit of mold on it. Sorting through for a good piece was just too depression era for me.
Today I was making a sandwich to take to work. I noticed a tiny spot of mold on the last piece of bread. I thought to myself, “I can just rip that mold off.”
Well after eating three quarters of that sandwich for lunch; I’ve decided that I’m not old enough for that kind of behavior.
The other day I was driving in the mountains and had the thought to put in the Housemartins. It’s been a while since I had played their tunes so my perspective was fresh. Their sound has obvious similarities to the Smiths. The Housemartins are really the Smiths if Morrissey took a Prozac. The Smiths have superior talent but if you are in a mood for upbeat lyrics give the Housemartins a try.
